Business Meeting

Present: Dennis Regulinski (Mid-Atlantic Accounting Solutions), Linda Koons (M&T Bank), Cara Harrison Corridor Mortgage Group), Bob Force (Century 21 – New Millenium), Paul Clay (Mt. Airy Economic Development Commssion and ReMax Realty Plus), Denny Ahalt (Mt. Airy Lions Club) and Kathy Eichelberger (Independent Imaging Associates).

1. Call to Order – Dennis Regulinski opened the meeting at 9:09.
2. Minutes are posted on the website for November 2015 Motion to approve the minutes was made by Denny Ahalt and seconded by Bob Force. Passed.
3. Treasurer’s Report – Denny Ahalt reported that balance of $21,165.53 as of 11/30/15 and the Budget for 2016. Kathy Eichelberger made motion to accept these reports and Bob Force seconded – motion passed.

4. Committee Report –

a. Advertising and Marketing – Dennis Regulinski reported that the Membership Night ad cost $512.
b. Ambassadors – No report.
c. Carroll County Chamber – No report.
d. Finance –

1. Denny Ahalt asked about a donation to Carroll Community College, reminding us that we had donated $100 in the past for their general fund. Motion was made by Denny Ahalt and seconded by Kathy Eichelberger to again donate $100 for 2016. Motion passed.
2. New account at M&T was opened.

e. Frederick County Chamber - No report.
f. Government Relations – Paul Clay mentioned the Business Card Exchange on 12/10, including door prizes for those in attendance.
g. Membership –

1. Linda Koons reported 90 members joined/renewed as a result of attending Membership Night – 75 renewals, 10 new members and 5 past members.
2. Special recognition should be given to Jeri Simon – she got 24 membership renewals.
3. Suggestion was made to offer free membership to Mt. Airy Kiwanis (as long as they continue with joint project with Chamber for the Phonebook). Motion was made by Denny Ahalt and seconded by Cara Harrison – passed.

h. Phone Book LLC – No report.
i. Professional Development – No report.

1. Paul Clay mentioned that the Economic Development Commission for Mt Airy is looking at their budget and suggested that the Professional Development Committee join forces to get speakers to draw attendees. Member sponsorship was suggested.
2. Suggestion was made that members attend these meetings free and non-members pay a fee as well as those members signing up and not showing up.

j. Scholarship – No report. Paula Wilhelm has shown interest in working on this Committee.
k. Social – Cara Harrison reported that she and Dave Reagle and Ray Miller met to discuss and schedule upcoming Business Card Exchanges for 2016.
l. Website – No report. Linda Koons suggested that members may be able to update their information on the Chamber website – via password permission.

5. Old Business – We still need a Recording Secretary for 2016 term.
6. New Business – Dennis Regulinski announced that the 2016 Membership Night will be held at the Activities Building again – cost of $50. Date is November 10.
